Neurodivergent clients may experience aesthetic consultations differently from what is typically expected. Sensory sensitivities can make clinical environments feel overwhelming. A preference for detailed, precise information, or conversely, for a clear and concise summary, may not be what a standard consultation format delivers. Uncertainty about what will happen next can create significant distress that is easily avoided with a little structure and preparation.
One-size-fits-all communication does not work. This is not a failure of the client, it is a failure of the approach. At Regener8 Aesthetics, the consultation is adapted to the individual. You are not expected to fit a template.
All treatments at Regener8 Aesthetics are subject to a consultation and individual suitability assessment. This page describes the consultation approach, not a therapeutic service.
The following adjustments are available as standard or on request. Please mention any preferences when you enquire or book.
Clear, plain-language explanations. No jargon, no assumed prior knowledge. Every procedure and every step is explained clearly. If something is unclear, please ask, questions are expected and welcomed, not an inconvenience.
Extended appointment time available on request. Longer slots are available if you need more time to process information, ask questions or simply feel settled before a decision is made. Please mention this when booking, there is no additional charge.
Calm, private consultation environment. Appointments take place in a private room. There is no shared waiting area, no background clinical noise, and no audience. The environment is quiet and unhurried.
Sensory considerations. No strong scents are used in the clinic where this can be controlled. If you have specific sensory sensitivities that would help us prepare, please mention them in advance.
Written summaries and aftercare as standard. You will receive a written treatment plan following your consultation, and written aftercare instructions after every treatment. We do not rely on verbal instructions alone, information that needs to be retained is always provided in writing.
Structured consultation, you will know what comes next. The consultation follows a clear sequence. You will be told what each stage involves before it begins. Nothing happens without explanation and nothing is assumed.
WhatsApp communication available. If you prefer written communication before or after your appointment, to ask questions, receive confirmation, or follow up on aftercare, WhatsApp is available. You do not need to make a phone call.
Our practitioner has a clinical healthcare background and extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals. This informs the consultation approach, not as a therapeutic service, but as a foundation for clear, patient and well-adapted communication. Regener8 Aesthetics provides aesthetic consultations and treatments only.
The following concerns come up regularly. They are all taken seriously, and all can be accommodated or discussed in advance.
Sensory Sensitivity
Touch, lighting and sound can all be heightened concerns. Please mention any specific sensitivities when booking, we will do our best to prepare appropriately.
Open-Ended Questions
If open-ended questions feel difficult, more structured questions can be used instead. Simply let us know what works better for you.
Written Communication
If you prefer to communicate in writing before your appointment, to ask questions or share your concerns, WhatsApp is available and welcomed.
Decision Fatigue
You are never expected to decide anything on the day. The consultation fee is valid for 30 days, take the time you need to think it over.
New Environments
If arriving somewhere unfamiliar is a source of anxiety, please feel free to contact us in advance for information about the clinic layout, what the room looks like, and exactly what will happen when you arrive. We are happy to answer these questions in writing before your appointment.
Do I need to disclose my neurodivergent condition to book?
No. You are not required to disclose anything about your neurodivergent profile in order to book. If there are specific things that would help make your appointment more comfortable: extra time, a quieter environment, written information in advance, or any other adjustment, we simply ask that you mention those preferences when enquiring or booking, so we can prepare accordingly.
Can I have extra time for my consultation?
Yes. Extended appointment slots are available on request. Please mention when you book that you would like extra time. There is no additional charge for this.
Will I receive written aftercare instructions?
Yes. Written aftercare instructions are provided as standard for all clients, not just those who request them. You will also receive a written treatment plan following your consultation. We do not rely on verbal instructions alone.
Can I bring a support person?
Yes. You are welcome to bring a trusted support person, a friend, family member or carer, to your consultation and to your treatment. They are welcome to be present in the room throughout. Clinical decisions and consent remain with you as the client.
What if I feel overwhelmed during my appointment?
Any appointment can be paused or ended at any point. No explanation needed. If you need a moment, a break, or simply to stop, please say so. Your wellbeing always takes precedence over any treatment schedule.
We are happy to discuss your needs before you book. The £25 consultation fee is fully redeemable against any treatment booked within 30 days. All treatments subject to consultation and individual suitability assessment.
